Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for multiple clients in Sacramento, California. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing complete bookkeeping cycles, and confident working in QuickBooks Enterprise. The position will play a key part in maintaining accurate records, supporting reporting needs, and coordinating with external accounting partners on year-end and audit-related activities.Responsibilities:- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple client accounts using QuickBooks Enterprise, ensuring financial records remain accurate and current.- Record cash receipts from various payment channels, such as mailed checks, credit card transactions, online payment platforms, and e-commerce sources, and apply them to the appropriate accounts.- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for assigned clients, including payment tracking, vendor obligations, and account follow-up.- Reconcile bank and investment accounts on a regular basis to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.- Prepare deposits for collected funds on a biweekly schedule and provide supporting transaction details to the corporate accounting team.- Establish bookkeeping structures for new clients, including account organization, classes, and departmental tracking within QuickBooks Enterprise.- Complete sales tax filings, assist with year-end forecasting and draft budget preparation, and contribute to budget planning discussions.Requirements - 5+ years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, including experience with QuickBooks Enterprise.- Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.- Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.- Familiarity with handling multiple forms of payment, including checks, credit card receipts, and online payment platforms.- Experience preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting activities, and assisting with year-end accounting tasks.- Ability to manage multiple client accounts with strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
