Security Guard- PRN (On Call/As Needed)

The Security Officer is stationed at the concierge desk unless they are needed else ware on campus. The Officer is the first person that our residents, visitors and guests interact with as they come onto our campus. The Officer must be professional and courteous in many different situations.Herons Key, is a 5 star premier life plan community (healthcare) located in Gig Harbor Washington. We are dedicated to providing our residents the best senior living experience in the Puget Sound area and offer a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00The position will provide additional coverage for current Security shifts, including:5:00 PM – 1:00 AM9:00 PM – 3:00 AM1:00 AM – 9:00 AM3:00 AM – 11:00 AMWe offer:100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.In Addition, we offer:Gym/PoolEmployee Discount ProgramFree ParkingBeautiful walking paths around the communityPrimary Responsibilities:Deactivates Prox tokens to staff and residents as requested.Review video if requested and send requestor information, still pictures or video as requested.Monitor and properly respond to life safety systems.Issue and log passes to visitors and contractors.Maintain a log of events that happen on campus and responses to them.Provide support for emergency events as necessary.Help with project work as requested.Attends in-service training and education sessions.Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:High school graduation or GED.Minimum six months experience in the security field or related areas.Valid Washington State Driver’s license.Motor Vehicle Record check with no serious violations recorded.
