The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student achievement. Candidates will also:Plan, organize, and provide instruction to students in both individual and small groups within a resource/inclusion room environment;Demonstrate ability to design and implement effective instruction;Main appropriate and accurate records;Adapt general education, special curriculum, support materials, and instruction strategies to meet individual student learning styles;Serve in a consultative capacity with individuals and groups, including teachers, parents, and students;Coordinate and attend MET and IEPT meetings for students assigned to your caseload;Knowledge of disabilities and their educational implications;Working knowledge of special education state and federal laws, rules, and regulations;Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for the requirements of the position.
