Senior Supply Chain Analyst

DescriptionThe Role: **To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.**The Ideal Candidate:Will have the correct balance of intellectually curiosity and be enthusiastic about exploring the unknownHave a bias for action and own a proven track record of getting resultsBe prepared to make mistakes but learn from them, be open to feedback and willing to be coachedWill have a desire to advance in the business, this may be into lateral roles in an effort to gain a broad business perspectiveRole & ResponsibilitiesOptimize commodity spending and provide Year over Year (YoY) annual savings through cost reductions, cost avoidance and operational improvements. Recommend cost saving proposals through negotiations, Value Analysis, Long Term Supply Agreements, competitive knowledge, make-versus-buy analysis, resourcing/dual sourcing opportunities, last time buy and supplier Value Engineering activitiesUnderstanding of price justification, negotiation methods and techniques, manufacturing processes, industry standardsManage commercial relations with the supply base including quotation analysis, negotiations, supplier nomination, production procurement, contract development, production purchase orders and deliveriesSupports production operations to assure uninterrupted supply to Depot Repair and production linesArrange commercial agreements with optimal lot sizes to support business strategiesEnsures that all purchasing activities are executed to achieve the short- and long-term business strategy along with the operating and financial objectivesSelect or assist in the selection of vendors who deliver the highest quality, low cost and on time serviceFacilitate vendor quality and capability improvementsParticipate actively in a teamwork approach to achieving goals with particular emphasis on continuous improvement activitiesMinimum Education/Experience:Requires a bachelor's degree in business/engineering or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
