Design Construction Manager

Our commitment to quality, precision, and compliance ensures that our clients receive high-quality projects.**Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Design Department Manager to join our team in Texas. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of local design regulations, a strong network of local resources, and the ability to build and manage a design team to deliver high-quality designs for cleanrooms and other projects.**Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the entire process of early planning, design conversion, and obtaining construction permits for MEP projects, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and client specifications.- Leverage extensive knowledge of Texas building codes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.- Supervise and manage the design process of projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, client requirements, and local building regulations.- Review architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) designs to ensure they meet client usage requirements and local building regulations.- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of design and construction.- Conduct regular design reviews and meetings, track progress, and resolve issues; manage design changes, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and implementation.- Create and maintain design schedules to ensure timely delivery of design milestones.- Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and documents to support project approval and decision-making.**Qualifications:- Over 5 years of experience in construction design management or a related role.- Licensed architect in Texas and other states with signing authority is a must. - Strong network of local contractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a design team.- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising with clients, team members, and stakeholders.- Familiarity with construction design principles, standards, and regulations.- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM (Building Information Modeling).- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.- Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred. **Why Join Us:- Opportunity to collaborate with a leading company in the cleanroom construction industry.- A collaborative and dynamic work environment.- Competitive salary and benefits; the expected annual salary range for this position is $71,000 – $75,000.- Opportunities for career growth and advancement within a company with 10 global offices across Asia and Europe.**How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume and/or recommendation letter, outlining relevant experience and qualifications, to hewh@szlaun.com, with the subject line "Application for Architectural Design Manager."
