Plastics has facilities in both Clearwater and Otsego, Minnesota.Position Summary:This position is responsible for setting up freight and coordinating deliveries with carriers, ensuring that product is available for shipment by communicating with customer service, and ensuring that trucks are on time.Safety is #1 at T.O. Set up truck to ship by customer-required dock dates.Call and schedule freight based on contracted lanesAssist in receiving/loading/unloading of productBuild trucks for best economic sense for T.O. Plastics.Communicate shipping instruction to dock personnel- changes to shipping order etc. Communicate to customer service and other internal customers as needed.Schedule dock appointments for incoming shipmentsPrepare and coordinate shipments to and from outsource vendorsCoordinate and complete inventory transfers for all shipments of product going to or from Otsego facilityCreate packing lists and bill of lading for outbound materials shipmentsMaintain a clean working environment and remain organizedOther duties as assigned by Warehouse & Logistics ManagerEducation, Experience and Skills Required:High School or GEDProficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications.Ability to work with different applications on different formatsRead and writeFamiliar with PC applicationAbility to multi-taskExcellent understanding of freight and costExperience in putting loads together and utilizing costAbility to communicate both verbally, written in a professional manner. This position requires the individual to be flexible and work one-on-one with sales personnel that may be on-site with customers, so good people skills is desired.Basic math skills neededThis position requires a great deal of communication between QC and sales and truck line companies.
