Senior Risk Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management, the Senior Risk Manager will lead the design, placement, and ongoing management of our client's global insurance and risk financing programs. This role is responsible for assessing, quantifying, and communicating enterprise risk; executing mitigation strategies; and ensuring continuity of operations while driving measurable reductions in total cost of risk (TCoR).The Senior Risk Manager will own the end‑to‑end insurance purchasing cycle, manage external partners (brokers, insurers, and third‑party administrators), oversee claims governance, and provide leadership to internal staff and cross‑functional stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise insurance and risk financing programs aligned with strategic objectives and risk appetiteManage global insurance programs, including General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Foreign Liability, and First‑Party Property (including Business Interruption) across domestic and international operationsCoordinate placement of complex specialty coverages, including Errors & Omissions, Crime, Fiduciary, Dealer Floor Plan, and Special Liability policiesReview and validate exposure data for insurance submissions and renewalsAnalyze and recommend risk financing strategies, retention levels, and risk transfer limitsDevelop financial analyses of insurance renewals to support cost comparisons and annual budgetingReview policy documents for accuracy and resolve coverage or documentation issues with brokers and insurersOversee claims management across Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, General Liability, and Property programs; monitor TPA and carrier performance; analyze loss trends; and implement strategies to improve outcomes and reduce TCoRManage the company’s single‑parent captive insurance company domiciled in BermudaPrepare and support data requirements for insurance company auditsServe as an enterprise risk management resource for promotional events, new business initiatives, real estate matters, and vendor/contract risk; review, negotiate, and manage approximately 100 contracts annually from a risk perspectiveSupervise and develop the Risk/Claims ManagerRecommend updates to the Insurance Management Policy and provide budget input as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s degree with 6+ years of risk management or insurance experience and at least 3 years of leadership experience; orMaster’s degree with 5+ years of risk management or insurance experience and at least 3 years of leadership experience; or10+ years of risk management or insurance experience and at least 3 years of leadership experience.Our specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job and candidate matches faster.
