Job Description Job Title: Electrical TechnicianLocation: Mt. Vernon, ILJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Must be available for shift work, weekends, and overtime as requiredPay Rate: $38.95/hr.About the RoleWe are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for systematic troubleshooting, accurate diagnosis of equipment issues, and the execution of sustainable, high-quality repairs on highly automated production equipment. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and equipment reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair AC and DC electrical control systems, including PLCs, IPCs, and field devicesPerform quality repairs to motors, drives, and servo systemsDiagnose issues using schematics, digital multimeters, and specialized software toolsReplace defective components and verify systems functionalityTrack repair work and time using SAP-PM and iPad softwareMaintain clear, professional communication with production, engineering, and maintenance teamsFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE protocols to ensure a safe work environmentMaintain and troubleshoot power and lighting transformersSupport computer/IPC hardware repair and software backup proceduresAssist in maintaining technical documentation and engineering web pagesSupport supervisors in daily operations and assist with vacancy coverage as neededKeep a clean, organized, and professional workspaceQualificationsEducation & Experience (one of the following):Associate's degree in an electrical field, orCertificate in an electrical field*3+ years of relevant electrical experience**Applicants without an Associate's degree must pass a technical proficiency test.Preferred Experience:Working knowledge of PLCs, IPCs, analog I/O, AC & DC drives, and servo systemsProficiency in Microsoft Windows and general computer literacyThis is your opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment where your technical skills are valued and growth is encouraged.
