Headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, we are committed to creating structures that meet the demands of the modern economy.Role DescriptionHenneman Engineering is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our team on-site at our Champaign, IL location. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis, calculations, and design for a variety of projects. Additional responsibilities include the preparation of detailed engineering drawings using computer-aided design (AutoCAD and/or Revit) software, writing and reviewing technical specifications, assessing project requirements, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to execute quality designs that meet safety and sustainability standards while adhering to project deadlines.QualificationsProficiency in Structural Engineering principlesStrong skills in Structural Analysis and CalculationsKnowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and design standardsExperience with CAD software and related toolsExcellent problem-solving and project management skillsEffective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and team membersAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team4+ years engineering experience, consulting engineering experience preferredBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural concentration, or a related discipline, Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferredRegistration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain registration within 6 months, Structural Engineer (SE) license or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferredSalary and BenefitsSalary commensurate with skills and experience: $70,000-$100,000Benefits typical of industry including: 8 paid holidays, 3 weeks (15 days) of accrued paid time off per year, health insurance, disability and life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 401K programHenneman Engineering is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.
