Remote: Project Manager, Healthcare IT
IntePros is partnered with an award-winning healthcare client to identify an experienced Principal Project Manager to lead complex, high-visibility initiatives across the organization.This role is responsible for leading large-scale, high-risk projects or programs with significant organizational impact. The Principal Project Manager will partner closely with executive sponsors and senior stakeholders to define direction, drive alignment, and ensure successful delivery in environments where objectives and solutions may not be fully defined.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage large, complex projects or portfolios with significant risk and visibilityPartner with executive sponsors and program leadership to define scope, strategy, and success criteriaFacilitate discussions with senior stakeholders to drive decision-making and alignmentOversee project budgets, resource allocation, and financial tracking at both project and portfolio levelsMonitor progress, proactively mitigate risks, and resolve critical issues to ensure timely deliveryManage, coach, and mentor project teams (typically 15–25+ members)Collaborate with HR and IT Resource Managers to identify and onboard project resourcesCommunicate project vision, roles, and expectations clearly across all stakeholdersNegotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships across the project portfolioDevelop and deliver project reporting, dashboards, and performance metricsPromote and enhance project management best practices, tools, and methodologiesEnsure compliance with organizational standards, information security policies, and regulatory requirementsRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of progressive experience managing medium to large, complex projects with increasing responsibilityProven experience serving as the primary project manager on high-risk, high-visibility initiatives with executive sponsorsExpertise within a business and/or technology domain, with strong knowledge of enterprise project management methodologies, tools, and practicesAdvanced skills in facilitation, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder alignmentStrong proficiency in project planning, budgeting, consensus building, and issue resolutionExperience managing large teams and complex project portfolios, including vendor oversightAdvanced ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation, reporting, and project lifecycle artifactsComfortable leading in ambiguous environments and helping define project direction and solutionsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare IT, or a related fieldPreferred:Advanced or graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, or related disciplineCertificationsPMI member in good standingPMP certification requiredPreferred:Additional certification in a specialized business or technical domain relevant to project leadershipRequirementsAbility to operate effectively in a highly regulated healthcare environmentUnderstanding of compliance standards related to patient, financial, and confidential dataFamiliarity with integrating information security practices into technology and project delivery
