Electrical Journeyman
Position Summary: The Electrician will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of electrical systems and associated processes.Role And ResponsibilitiesRegular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sitesPrepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before and completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooringmeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduitOversees or participates in wire installation with conduit and cable traysPerform other routine duties as directed by workplace leader, electrical panels, and standby generation Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and electrical codesConnects power cables to equipment, such as motor, and installs grounding leadsObserves functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocations, or replacementInstalls control and distribution apparatus, i.e., switches, relays, circuit breaker panelsTest Continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety components; uses testing instruments i.e., ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscopeQualificationsEssential Skills & Characteristics:Ability to work independently or as part of a teamFollow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workersStrict adherence to all safety rules and qualityParticipate in site housekeepingInteract with all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous mannerPerform additional duties as directed by ManagementFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)At times may perform clerical/administrative dutiesEducational & Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or relevant work experienceApplicable State Trade License5 years of Field Experience, trade school, or apprenticeshipOSHA 10 certificationAZ Corporation is an employee owned, tobacco-free, equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate based on marital status, race, color, creed, gender, sex, religion, national origin, gender identity, age, veteran status, union affiliation, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or other legally protected status
