Overview: We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to manage and oversee various HR functions, ensuring efficient and compliant operations within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment: Handle job postings, screen and recommend candidates, schedule interviews, and prepare job offer letters. Participate in job fairs. Onboarding/Training: Complete new hire packets, maintain records, ensure time clock setup, and coordinate safety training. Manage I-9 compliance. Performance Appraisal: Schedule and conduct reviews, document performance, and provide review recommendations to management. Workforce Engagement/Management: Develop job descriptions and communication lines, assist with disciplinary actions, and support career growth. Seek grant opportunities for employee programs. Payroll Management: Track hours, manage payroll, and oversee vacation, sick days, and deductions. Employee Benefits: Administer retirement plans, insurance enrollments, and manage benefits renewals and COBRA. Safety & Wellbeing: Collaborate on safety improvements, ensure OSHA compliance, and mediate employee disputes. Compliance Management: Maintain the Employee Handbook, ensure legal compliance, and manage risk through proper recordkeeping. Workers Compensation: File and manage claims, and document workplace injuries. Employee Exit Strategies & Succession Planning: Manage retirements, terminations, and conduct exit interviews for feedback. Miscellaneous Office Work: Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and maintaining office supplies. Assist with supporting other departments as needed to ensure smooth office operations. Qualifications: Experience in HR management, strong communication skills, and knowledge of employment laws are preferred. Proficiency in office administration, organization, and multitasking is highly valued.
