Shipping and Receiving Specialist

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of materials and products ensuring that all orders are delivered and received on time, documentation is accurate and processed per SDS guidelines and procedures, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibilities are inclusive, but not limited to the items listed below.Manage and coordinate the shipment and receipt of materials, products, and equipmentEnsure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, and that all products are delivered to the correct locationTrack and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate records of all transactionsCoordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chainIdentify areas for improvement in the shipping and receiving process, and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costsOperate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload shipmentsMaintain a safe and clean working environment, and comply with all safety regulations and proceduresEnsure shipping transactions and documentation are completed and all records are maintained in compliance with SDS established processes.Ensure shipments are complete, correct, on time, and in accordance with state and local regulationsComply with all Stasis drilling Solutions Company, departmental and HSE procedures and policies.Perform other work-related tasks as required and/or assigned.Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS Objectives.  FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESManage tagging, packaging and shipping processContinuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other departmentsAbility to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficientlyFamiliarity with computer systems and software, including inventory management and tracking systemsWillingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed METRIC ACCOUNTABILITIESDelivery AccuracyOrder FulfillmentReceiving EfficiencyShipping EfficiencyEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training preferredAt least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in the oil and gas industryKnowledge of MPD equipment and processes is a plusExperience with ERP system preferred.Familiar with commercial terms/ formats /rules is a plusFamiliar with FMCSA and DOT regulations is a plus Strong communication in English (Both Verbal and Written)Strong analytical skills BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIESWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee must follow all required safety instructions as per company HSE policy.Regular punctuality Ability to work with minimum guidance as well as in a team-based environment required.Problem-Solving: A Shipping and Receiving Specialist should be able to analyze complex problems, identify the root causes, and develop effective solutions.  ​As an at-will employer, the Stasis Drilling Solutions, LLC may terminate the employment relationship at any time and for any reason, with or without cause.
