Controls EngineerAutomation | PLC Programming | Industrial ControlsLocation: Russell Springs, KYWHTalent Solutions is partnering with a global German-owned manufacturer, to identify a Controls Engineer to support automation, controls, and manufacturing engineering initiatives at its Russell Springs, KY facility.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys designing, programming, troubleshooting, and improving industrial control systems. You'll work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams to support new equipment, automation projects, process improvements, and plant operations.If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, programming PLCs, and seeing your projects through from design to implementation, we'd love to connect.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support PLC-based automation and control systemsProgram, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, robots, and variable frequency drivesSupport new equipment installations, commissioning, and system startupsDesign electrical control systems for manufacturing equipmentDevelop and improve automation solutions to increase quality, efficiency, and uptimeTroubleshoot electrical controls, communications networks, and production equipmentCollaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve equipment issuesCreate and maintain electrical documentation, standards, and control system specificationsSupport capital equipment projects and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications5+ years of Controls Engineering or Industrial Automation experienceExperience programming Allen Bradley (Rockwell) and/or Siemens PLCsExperience with HMI programming and industrial automation systemsStrong electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience commissioning manufacturing equipment and production systemsAbility to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagramsExperience supporting manufacturing equipment in a production environmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with robotics and industrial networkingAutoCAD or electrical drafting experienceVisual Basic programming experienceAutomotive manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing experienceExperience with industrial controls integration, instrumentation, and automation projectsWhy Apply?Stable global manufacturer with more than 75 years of engineering excellenceOpportunity to own automation and controls projects from concept through commissioningModern manufacturing environment with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial automationHigh-impact role supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvementCollaborative engineering team with long-term career growth opportunities
