Job Title: Government Sales Development DirectorJob location: Oxford, CTJob Type: Fulltime (with benefits)Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Market AnalysisConduct research on government procurement trends, budgets, and upcoming aerospace projects.Identify and analyze opportunities for expanding the company's presence in the government sector.Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement strategic plans to target government clients and secure contracts for aerospace manufacturing products and services.Establish relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies and departments.Proposal DevelopmentCollaborate with the technical and proposal teams to create compelling and compliant proposals for government solicitations.Ensure proposals align with government regulations, requirements, and specifications.Contract NegotiationNegotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with government clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts.Customer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with government clients through regular communication and responsiveness to their needs.Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues promptly.Collaboration With Internal TeamsLiaise with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful execution of government contracts.Communicate client requirements and specifications to internal teams, facilitating seamless project delivery.Compliance And RegulationsStay informed about government regulations, policies, and compliance standards relevant to aerospace manufacturing.Ensure that all sales activities and contracts adhere to applicable regulations.EducationQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales or government contracting are advantageous.ExperienceProven track record in government sales, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations.SkillsStrong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer relationships.Experience in developing contracts with the U.S Government
