Solution Engineer

The Solutions Engineer will support the Sales team to effect closure of new and expanded sales. Common duties for this position include technical discovery, and evaluating technological viability as well as inspirational presentations, complex prototype demonstrations and follow-up support during the sales process. This position works closely with the sales management team, as well as members of the sales team. The Solutions Engineer will help ensure that STACK’s products are represented accurately, and that individual client questions or concerns are effectively addressed.Performance Responsibilities and ExpectationsConsults with Sales Team and their existing and potential clients to assess and understand their needs and systems requirement and identify the right opportunities for sales to pursue.The sales engineer is an expert at the discovery process and can document and solve critical business issues.Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.Provides consulting expertise in understanding and addressing the needs of executives (i.e. CEO, President, CFO, etc.) Provides construction industry expertise to address client issues and facilitate the sale.Work cross-functionally and collaboratively, making sure pertinent information is shared to ensure a successful handoff between Sales, Account Management, and Trainers.Work directly with STACK’s Product team by documenting process gaps, product issues, reporting requirements and a myriad of other solutions/workarounds.Required Experience, Knowledge, And Characteristic AttributesMust have demonstrated experience, knowledge, and characteristic attributes in the following:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceMust be curious, self-motivated with a desire to winExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and story tellStrong understanding of time management and prioritizationDemonstrated critical thinking ability with the ability to problem solveProficiency with Salesforce or other CRM toolsPrior experience in sales with a track record of achieving sales goals highly preferredAbility to leverage strong technical aptitude to master STACK’s product offerings, business model, services, and emerging technologiesAdapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
