ESG is looking for a Houston based Business Development professional to work with the North American Sales team driving sales and business development for our dynamic energy and energy transition business units in Houston & Denver.About the jobReporting to the CEO, you will be selling ESG’s suite of diagnostic and monitoring solutions to upstream energy and energy transition clients. Your prime focus will be Houston & Denver based operators. You will:Develop and execute account-based strategiesIdentify and qualify new business opportunities with new clientsDevelop a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and objectives, work with ESG operations and processing team leads to develop strategies to address themOwn client relationship throughout the entire engagement, from sale to project closeRegularly travel in your regions to meet with clients and attend regional and national industry conferenced and eventsSupport your team and colleagues in various initiatives to grow our businessMaintain margin and profitability targetsBuild and issue commercial quotes to manage a pipeline of opportunitiesProvide timely documentation tracking opportunities in the company’s CRM and project tracking systems Meet or exceed sales targets and metricsKeep up to date on industry technical applications solving our operator’s problems Be a positive contributor and uphold ESG’s values About youFor 5+ years you’ve sold geophysical or completions related services to geoscience and engineering teams in oil and gas companiesYou have a university or college degree, ideally in a technical discipline that is relevant to the energy and energy transition marketsYou can demonstrate a successful track record of growing market share within a geographic regionCold calls get you up in the morning, dreaming of account mapping is how you fall asleep at nightCuriosity, building trust, value creation and a win-win mindset come naturally to you Ethics, integrity and professionalism are your core valuesIntuition is nice, but you prefer to base your decisions on data and facts A reasonable amount of travel and networking opportunities excites you You are gallant and respectful both in victory and defeat, but mostly in victory.
