If you have worked in engineering, construction, fire, utilities, heavy equipment manufacturing, or the oil and gas industry, this may be a great fit for you.Here, you will make an impact by:Becoming a Fall Protection expert in the Global market, developing a deep understanding of products, applications, and local/federal Fall Protection requirementsLeveraging expert product and regulatory knowledge to support critical global business initiatives, process, and internal cross functional teamsActively engaging with standard setting organizations while representing 3M and driving forward critical business strategiesProactively supporting the United States and Canadian market by providing advanced technical support, supporting high value opportunities, and working closely with strategic key accountsDeveloping scholarly articles and technical content, delivering educational webinars/seminars, and undertaking public speaking engagements that demonstrate industry thought leadership.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Seven (7) years of experience in the workplace health and safety industry, or in technical support, product design, or customer engagement related to personal protective equipment (PPE) products.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist or alternative safety certifications an assetExperience in the fall protection industryA customer focused mindsetProficient public speaking abilityExperience in new product design, using Voice of Customer insights to translate customer needs into product requirementsStrong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross-functional teamSelf-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skillsWork location:This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week splitting time between the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, and 3M facilities in Cottage Grove, MN and Red Wing, MN.Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedSupporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
