Primary Function
The Final Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling complete water softener units on a final assembly line according to established work instructions, quality standards and production requirements.
Responsibilities
Assemble complete water softener units on a final assembly line including tanks, control valves, resin tanks, plumbing and electrical components
Follow standard work instructions, visual aids, and assembly specifications to ensure accurate and consistent builds
Perform visual and functional quality checks throughout the assembly process
Identify and report defective parts, quality concerns or equipment issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor
Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
Maintain a clean, organized and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and safety requirements
Accurately complete production counts and required documentation
Support cross-training and assist in other assembly or production areas as needed
Follow all safety policies, work rules and PPE requirements at all times
Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
Experience working on an assembly line or in final assembly
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and basic mechanical assemblies
Education
High School Diploma or GED
