If you're interested in working as a cook and we have your attention, read on!ResponsibilitiesMonitor the preparation of all food products to ensure they meet all food safety and quality standardsPrepare and supply food items to the cook’s line Prepare foods using the prep list to ensure fresh productMaintain the mesquite fire at proper levels to ensure proper cooking surface on the grillComplete HACCP accurately and notify a manager when items are not correctPrepare product tags and stock items for designated work areaPrepare food to specificationsWork to ensure a steady, sufficient flow of products that reach expo so that there is no break in productionMonitor the preparation of food to meet Tumbleweed standardsPerform the work necessary to open and close the kitchen efficientlyMonitor the flow of supplies to the line to ensure no delays in productionMaintain tumbleweed standards of personal cleanliness and hygieneKnow all the menu items, ingredients and portions thoroughlyKeep the work area clean, clear and organizedFollow the rules of rotation, cleanliness, storage and use of foodAdhere to Tumbleweed’s safety and sanitation guidelinesClean and maintain equipment for designated work areaPerform all side work as requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsFriendly and outgoing dispositionExcellent communication skillsAbility to analyze and solve simple, reoccurring problemsAlert and caring attitude toward job responsibilitiesHigh value on helpfulness and teamworkAbility to handle multiple tasks in highly distracting circumstancesPersonal pride in appearance and work performedShows a real, personal concern for qualityAbility to follow direction, recipes and guidelinesA strong concern for organization and cleanlinessReliable transportation requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
