Construction Quality Assurance Technician

MAF123ResponsibilitiesBuilding Science + Infrastructure Technicians are the frontline workers for ECS projects. A Technician observes and performs routine field tests and observations on a per project basis as assigned by others. Work is task based and will be performed in the field. Technicians present a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.Testing and observations for new construction or the built environment, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation, and other building science & infrastructure related services.Perform field and laboratory testing and observations.Progressive learning about testing and observations of various systems while working both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.Daily communication is required with other ECS technicians, project managers, principals, clients and other site representatives.Attend project meetings with ECS senior staff and/or clients as requested.Progressive understanding of systems and structures and the way we observe, test and investigate them. Document test results and observations in reports appropriately.Learn to calibrate and use field equipment. Assist with maintenance and organization of field equipment. Notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment.Incidental duties may include office clerical tasks, report production assistance and other office or lab related tasks.Other duties as requested.QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate or technical degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering or a related field preferred.0-2 years of related experience.Professional certifications are preferred but not required, including NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector and/or relevant ICC certifications.If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds multiple times per day, stand for extended periods, walk on uneven ground through various terrains, and have the ability to perform work at heights.Typical office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. This position may periodically require extended hours, including earlier start times and longer days during peak workload periods, which may occur for several consecutive days. You may be required to work more than 40 hours per week as business needs dictate.
