VP Residential Operations

A well-established financial institution is seeking a seasoned Residential Operations Officer to lead and optimize its residential lending operations. This individual will oversee the full loan lifecycle while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a structured banking environment and brings deep expertise in consumer lending regulations. This is a high-impact, non-client-facing position with strong internal visibility and leadership responsibility.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee the full lifecycle of residential loans, including intake, application, underwriting, closing, and post-closingEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and broader consumer compliance standardsManage disclosures, loan documentation, and client onboarding processes with accuracy and timelinessSupervise daily operations of the residential lending department, including oversight of direct reportsUtilize Encompass to manage loan pipeline, workflow, and operational trackingIdentify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and accuracyMaintain strong internal service levels while supporting cross-functional teamsEnsure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsSupport audits, examinations, and regulatory reviews as neededQualifications & Requirements7–10+ years of residential loan operations experience within a banking environmentProven expertise managing the full residential loan lifecycle end-to-endStrong knowledge of TRID, RESPA, and consumer compliance regulationsHands-on experience with Encompass (required)Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong understanding of banking operations; candidates from brokerage environments will not be consideredHigh level of attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilityAbility to manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams
