Master Data Manager (Hands-On Leader/Builder)Full-Time | Hybrid (Orange County, CA – 3 days onsite)Salary Range - $150k to $200k per year (DOE)This is a ground-floor MDM build inside a stable, growing manufacturing company. They're looking for someone who's been there, done that with MDM, and can build it right the first time.You'll own Master Data Management end-to-end: strategy, standards, and execution, with full accountability for how data is governed across ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM systems.The RoleYou are the MDM function - There are no direct reports yet, so hands on skills are appreciatedHands-on: SQL, data analysis, data cleanup, root cause workPlayer-coach mindset: lead through experience, not hierarchyFuture path to lead a small teamWhat You'll DoBuild and implement data governance from scratchStandardize and cleanse data across multiple systemsDefine data ownership, rules, and system-of-record structureWrite and run SQL queries to join and validate dataWork directly with business users on workflows: "Show me your screens... where does this data come from?"Drive data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency)Client the groundwork for future tools (e.g., Snowflake)Improve reporting reliability and business trust in dataWhat You Bring7–10+ years in MDM / Data Governance / Data StewardshipStrong experience in manufacturing environmentsDeep ERP experience (Examples: SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, etc.)Experience across ERP, MES, PLM, CRM integrationsHands-on with:SQL (joining tables, digging into issues)Data profiling / cleansingMDM tools (Informatica, SAP MDG, Profisee, etc.)Ability to translate between business and technical teamsWhy This RoleYou're building MDM in your visionHigh visibility and direct impact across the businessClear path into formal leadership as the function grows
