Engineer Systems 3
A major aerospace company is looking for an Engineer Systems 3 to support our ANS department. As a member of the ANS department you'll get to apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo and DOORS to support development of a system architecture, conduct functional and trade study analyses, and translate customer requirements into detailed specifications across the full product lifecycle—from concept through disposal. This position will serve on-site in San Diego, CA.Responsibilities Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Basic Qualifications for Engineer Systems 3Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM degree field with 5 years of experience; or 3 years experience with a Master's (MS) degree; or 1 year experience with a STEM PhDExperience in systems engineeringExperience in system requirements development, management, and analysisExperience with MBSE, software design, or demonstrated ability to work with software-aided design toolsThe ability to adhere to Program security requirements while performing workThe ability to effectively communicate with engineers and management from multiple disciplinesDemonstrated communication and technical writing skillsCLEARANCE: A current/active DoD Secret clearance.Must currently have SAP or must be able to obtain and maintain SAPPreferred Qualifications for Engineer Systems 3Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer EngineeringAn active DoD Top Secret clearanceWorking knowledge of MBSE tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and/or Enterprise ArchitectExperience working on military / spacecraft systemsExperience with complex system development on large programsExperience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirementsExperience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model-based system engineeringExperience in ICD, IRS, and IDD development and integrationProven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholdersAgile Systems Engineering ExperienceExperience in Cost Account Management (CAM)Experience in SysML or UPDM modeling languagesProficiency with the DoDAF, UAF, or other modeling frameworksMultifaceted in technical managementSysML CertificationINCOSE Participation or CSEP certification
