Senior Accountant

We're a growing company that serves customers in essential businesses. GSM has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant. Responsible for various aspects of accounting within the operations at GSM. The Sr Accountant has the primary goal of supporting the CFO with financial statements, reconciliation, analysis, and compliance as related to finances within the growing business of GSM. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and various analysis reports. Prepare multiple state sales & use tax returns. Responsible for daily transactions into ERP system including A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including prepaid expenses, inventory, accruals, and inter-company activity. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing process. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. Assist in tracking company’s financial status and performance to identify areas of potential improvement. Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve company processes. All other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, combined with 7-10 years experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role. Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations. Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting). Sales tax experience required. Experience with fixed assets, cash flow management, financial statements, internal controls, and auditing. Proficient in MS Office (intermediate to expert Excel skills). Proficient with Oracle, NetSuite, or other accounting software. Must be hands-on and detail-oriented with strong analytical and reasoning abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
