Team members collaborate in a dynamic environment focused on quality, trend-conscious design, and strong partner relationships.Role Description The Controller is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting. This role manages the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports. The Controller monitors cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and tax requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing transactions, reconciling accounts, approving journal entries, and supporting audits and financial analyses to guide leadership decisions. The role also partners with operations and leadership to optimize financial processes, support inventory and cost accounting, and implement system and process improvements.Qualifications Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis for decision support.Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, tax compliance, and audit support practices.Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time remote setting.Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.Experience in apparel, manufacturing, or wholesale distribution environments is a plus.
