We are looking for restaurant leaders and managers. Something Different Grill is a growing restaurant chain in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. We have 3 primary levels of hiring for leadership. 1. SLT (Salaried Leadership Training) is perfect for people with no management experience but want to be more than a cook or cashier. You have talent and want to grow. 2. Assistant Managers is perfect for those who have some management experience but want additional training to grow your career. 3. General Store Managers is perfect for those who have extensive management experience but looking for a different culture, advancement opportunities or want to relocate to one of our markets. Starting in 1999, Something Different has been serving Eastern New Mexico and West Texas some of the best food you can find. With a focus on healthy, "normal" food with convenient service options, SDG has grown year over year. As we continue to grow, both revenue in our current stores, as well as the addition of new stores, we are looking for people to help us with that purpose. Duties and Responsibilities: (Varies among postions) Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members Directs and assigns restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the employee handbook, policies and practices Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties Prepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levels Monitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels Places orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control procedures Completes and maintains all restaurant employment related records and payroll records Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels Prepare all necessary operational reports. Develop appropriate action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trends Develop and implement a local marketing plan Additional Management Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience, experience running shifts without supervision Required to work a minimum 5 day workweek with closing shifts Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills - Basic accounting and computer skills - Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards Additional Compensation: Bonuses Health/Dental/Vision PTO and Vacation Health Savings Account (if qualifies) Free Food Strive for 50 hour work week not the typical 70 plus.
