Control Engineer
We are looking for a Controls Engineer 2 to support hands-on machine testing, validation, troubleshooting, and test planning. This position will spend approximately 75% of the time executing tests on machines and 25% developing test plans and documentation.Key Responsibilities:Execute system, functional, and End-of-Line (EOL) validation testing on large machines and equipment.Troubleshoot complex control, electrical, and system-level issues during testing.Develop, execute, and document test plans and procedures.Analyze test results, identify failures, and support root-cause investigations.Work closely with machine operators and engineering teams during testing activities.Read and interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting and validation.Support vehicle and machine testing in a hands-on environment.Apply basic programming and scripting concepts to support testing and troubleshooting.Work with CAN communication systems and diagnostic tools.Communicate technical findings and test results clearly to engineering teams.Work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Maintain effective time management and documentation throughout testing activities.Required Skills:2–4 years of relevant engineering, testing, validation, or troubleshooting experience.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience working with complex systems, vehicles, machines, or equipment.Strong computer skills, particularly with Windows operating systems.Ability to communicate technical information effectively.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:End-of-Line (EOL) validation experience on large machines.Automotive, heavy machinery/equipment, or aerospace/aircraft industry experience.CANalyzer and/or CANape knowledge.CAN bus and vehicle communication experience.Ubuntu/Linux operating systems.Test planning and documentation.Electrical schematics.Exposure to autonomous systems such as perception, planning, or positioning.
