Dental Assistant- -Temporary Position

We are looking for a TEMPORARY Dental Assistant who values teamwork, patient care, and continuous growth as much as we do. This position starts mid March- end of June, to cover Maternity leave for our current Dental Assistant. Key Responsibilities Provide high-level chairside assistance for a wide range of procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. Lead by example — model professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail in all aspects of clinical care. Provide high-level customer service with a smile. Cooperate and support other dental assistants in clinical protocols, sterilization, and operatory setup. Maintain operatory readiness, inventory control, and equipment maintenance logs. Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, ensuring understanding of procedures and aftercare. Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow. Assist with digital scanning, photography, and documentation for restorative and cosmetic cases. CAD/CAM same day crown design. Uphold all infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. Qualifications Current Oregon Radiologic Proficiency Certificate (required). Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to adapt to different patient personalities and team dynamics. Comfort with technology — experience with digital x-rays, intraoral scanners, electronic charting systems, and 3D CAD/CAM design. Exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques. Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment while supporting others.
