Translation Request Manager

Job Description DescriptionAs a Translation Request Manager on the SmartThings UX team you will be responsible for requesting and monitoring translations via our internal translations requesting system while working closely with various teams across the organization. You will coordinate localization efforts communicating regularly with our local product teams in the United States as well as with our headquarters located in Suwon South Korea.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving and  monitoring translations requestsRequesting translations via our internal translation requesting systemMonitoring those translations for changes, next steps and completionProviding outputted translation strings to the appropriate internal party, typically the development teams or Project Managers)Reduce and/or eliminate localization bottlenecks by ensuring the final translation strings are delivered to the requestor in a timely manner.Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseFluency in KoreanExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English languageProficiency in Windows operating systemsStrong computer processing skills including the Google Suite and Microsoft Office2+ years of copy editing experience preferred Ability to remain detailed-oriented and focused when processing potentially large amounts of textWillingness to collaborate with a team of product owners, project managers, designers, and others.
