Quality Engineer (OEM) - Aerospace
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret OEM/customer quality requirements, engineering drawings, and specifications. Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards including AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, inspection procedures, and process controls. Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues and customer complaints. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process efficiency. Monitor production quality metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits. Review nonconforming material reports (NCMR) and disposition activities. Support supplier quality activities and qualification processes when required. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of OEM aerospace quality requirements and standards. Experience with aerospace fasteners, machining, or precision manufacturing processes preferred. Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, GD&T, SPC, PFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Experience with quality management systems and audit processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
