Center Service Manager II ECD CO
Position SummaryThe Center Service Manager II is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a single Head Start Program site and responsible for the supervision of 21 to 30 staff within CPLC’s Early Childhood Development.; or responsible for more than one site and for the supervision of up to 20 staff. Manages center operations and ancillary service needs, such as early childhood educational services, calendars, staff schedules, transportation, supplies, and food service, in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards Head Start Act (12/7/07), USDA requirements and CPLC Policies and Procedures. Promotes opportunities for parents to enhance their role as the primary influence in their child’s education and development. Works in coordination with the Regional Operations Manager, Content Program Coordinators, and Statewide Coordinators to promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position. Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments. Maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the school, outdoor and indoor environments.Minimum Qualifications And CompetenciesEducation /BackgroundBachelor’s degree in education, child development or early childhood education (ECE) preferred or in a related field.A BA, MA or Higher Degree with coursework equivalent to a major in ECE may be considered.Additionally, a combination totaling 2 years of progressive experience in an early childhood setting and/or administrative/supervisory experience is required.Other RequirementsAbility to provide leadership, handle multiple priorities/tasks through various program components.Knowledge of early childhood development and/or Head Start Performance Standards (issued 9/1/16) and the Head Start Act (12/7/07) is preferred.Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred.Knowledge in managing program finance, budgets, data entry, use of computer, computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web-based systems are required.
