Able to operate a scoop in an efficient and safe manner.Able to determine the difference between mine floor and loose accumulated materials.Understanding of section ventilationKnow the major components of the scoop.Know the location and operation of the emergency stop switches, visible disconnects and fire suppression of the scoop.Know the lubrication and service requirements of the scoop.Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.Understanding of how to properly place batteries on charge and take them off charge.
