This role is responsible for supporting patients through the eyewear selection process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate eyewear measurements, orders, and adjustments. No problem - we will train the right person.Benefits including:MedicalVisionDentalPersonal time off401kPaid holidaysNo weekendsContinuing EducationPay $18Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Friday 8am-3:30pmResponsibilitiesOptician job responsibilities include:Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on prescription, and lifestyle needsEducate patients on lens options including progressive lenses, anti-reflective coatings, photochromic lenses, blue light options, and specialty lensesAccurately interpret and process eyeglass prescriptionsPerform precise measurements including PD, segment height, OC height, and fitting adjustmentsPlace eyewear orders, verify accuracy, and follow up with labs/vendors as neededTroubleshoot eyewear issues and provide adjustments, repairs, and patient education at dispensingMaintain a clean, organized optical area and assist with merchandising and frame board presentationSupport clinic flow by working closely with doctors, technicians, and front desk staffHandle insurance and vision plan benefits as applicableEnsure patient satisfaction by delivering excellent customer service and resolving concerns professionallyMaintain accurate documentation in the patient's chart and optical systemSkills & QualificationsOptician skills & qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious optical experience strongly preferredIdeal for candidates with retail, sales, or customer service backgrounds.Comfortable working with multiple patients and tasks throughout the dayStrong communication skills with the ability to educate patients in a clear and friendly wayProfessional, dependable, and team-orientedDetail-oriented with strong organization and follow-throughAbility to handle patient concerns with empathy and professionalismBasic computer skills and comfort learning EHR/optical softwareApply Now
