Procurement Engineering Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of this position is to direct and manage aprocurement engineering organization responsible for generation ofcommercial grade dedication (CGD) plans, seismic and environmentalqualification plans, and receipt inspection activities for itemsprocured in support of Chrysalis construction, a first-of-a-kind medicalisotope facility located in Janesville, WI. The base salary range forthis position is \$157,000 - \$173,000 per year plus a comprehensivecompensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,and location. Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties andresponsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manages procurementengineering staff, including making hiring decisions. Ensure staff areadequately trained and perform work in accordance with SHINE qualitystandards for dedication, qualification, and receipt inspectionactivities. Mentor staff on qualification processes for commercialitems. Mentor staff on receipt inspection activities as part of qualityreceipt inspector (QRI) certification process. Ensure compliance withapplicable regulations, procedures, and specifications during dedicationand receipt inspection activities. Interface with Project Controlsorganization to develop and execute schedule activities for dedication,qualification, and receipt inspection activities to supportConstruction. Interface with Engineering, Commercial Grade DedicationLab, and Supply Chain groups early in the procurement process todetermine procurement strategies. Interface with Engineeringorganization to identify safety functions of items. Interface withCommercial Grade Dedication Lab Supervisor on testing activities. Leadthe development, review, approval, and execution of commercial gradededication plans, seismic qualification plans, and environmentalqualification plans. Lead receipt inspection processes for itemspurchased for safety-related and non-safety-related applications.Provide dispositions to Over, Short, Damage, and Discrepant (OSDD)reports, as required. Develop and maintain group budget for procurementengineering costs. Develop and update procurement engineering schedule,maintaining a detailed and high-integrity plan to accurately predictmilestones and resource loading. Monitor for early warning signs relatedto schedule slips and shifts resources to keep projects on schedule.\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor\'s degree andat least fifteen (15) years of nuclear industry experience preferred orequivalent experience in lieu of degree. Experience in commercial gradededication (EPRI NP5652). Understanding of ASME NQA-1 requirements.Experience in equipment qualification. Understanding of nuclear facilityprinciples and operation. Strong leadership and time management skills.Ability to develop strong intercompany relationships. Excellent written,verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
