Key responsibilities include acquiring new clients, retaining key professional relationships and driving significant trust revenue and asset growth to meet established goals. This role ensures strict adherence to governing laws and policies, including legal document interpretation and compliance.ResponsibilitiesDrive the growth of trust revenue and assets to achieve annual revenue targets, including new recurring revenue and one-time fees, with a primary focus on new, large, and complex client acquisition.Ensure the retention and optimal management of assigned client relationships.Cultivate and solicit new business from the existing client base to expand service offerings and meet evolving needs.Provide high-quality, proactive client interaction and efficient service through a structured call plan and collaboration with the Trust Investment Officer.Uphold compliance standards by reviewing accounts against internal policies, federal regulations, and legal documents.Serve as the primary administrative authority for the most complex trust matters, including discretionary distributions, Regulation 9 reviews, and oversight of account operations, often acting as a mentor or resource for Trust Officers on legal and fiduciary matters.Maintain and leverage an extensive network of clients, public and internal contacts to communicate on trust and estate planning matters and drive business, with accountability for generating a measurable pipeline of new recurring revenue.Process, vet, and approve outgoing wire transfer requests with an established approval limit, ensuring proper approval and documentation are obtained prior to submission.Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.Other duties and special projects may be assigned.Responsibilities:ExperienceRequired: 10 or more years of experience in trust administration and estate planning at an Officer levelRequired: Extensive knowledge of fiduciary management techniques, investments, tax, and legal issues as obtained through formal trust schools and seminars such as the American Bankers Association curriculum, Cannon Trust Schools, etc.Required: Active involvement in community and professional organizations including board service.Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.CredentialsRequired: Designation of Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent training.EducationRequired: Bachelor’s DegreePreferred: Master’s Degree or Juris DoctorateWorking ConditionsIncumbents must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
