Structural & Mechanical Test EngineerMaterials Testing & Structural AnalysisTukwila, WAU.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawWe are seeking a Structural & Mechanical Test Engineer to support materials testing, structural analysis, and test & evaluation activities in Tukwila, WA. This role is responsible for developing test plans, designing and integrating test systems, executing structural and mechanical tests, validating test data, and producing detailed technical reports to ensure products comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Ideal candidates have experience with structural testing, mechanical testing, CAD design (CATIA or SolidWorks), structural analysis, and pneumatic systems in an engineering or aerospace manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Develop test plans, procedures, and test equipment to verify compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.Design, develop, integrate, and maintain structural and mechanical test systems supporting laboratory and production testing.Execute structural and materials testing using electromechanical and computer-controlled test equipment.Review, validate, and analyze test data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and technical integrity.Prepare and publish comprehensive technical test reports documenting procedures, results, and conclusions.Research, evaluate, and implement new testing technologies to improve laboratory efficiency, capability, and performance.Design test hardware, fixtures, and supporting equipment for structural and mechanical testing applications.Collaborate with engineering, project teams, management, and technical staff to develop and implement effective test engineering solutions.Manage multiple testing activities and priorities while maintaining quality, schedule, and project objectives.Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through execution and final reporting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, or a Master's degree in Engineering with applicable engineering experience.Typically 2+ years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree with related engineering experience.Minimum of 1 year of experience in structural design, structural analysis, and/or structural or mechanical testing.Experience developing and executing engineering test plans and procedures.Experience with pneumatic system design, maintenance, and repair.Proficiency with CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.Experience performing structural analysis using engineering principles and hand calculations.Experience reviewing, validating, and documenting engineering test data and technical reports.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing engineering or testing projects.Experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering organization.Experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or advanced product development environments.Familiarity with laboratory test equipment, materials testing, and structural qualification testing.
