Security Guard Officer

Job Description- Security Officer Job Field-Security Guard Services Scheduled Weekly Hours: Up to 40 Work Shift: Day/Evening/Night Shift (8 and 12 hour shifts available) Job Description-Enforces the security policies and procedures of the assigned location. Guards against fire, theft, vandalism, altercations, illegal activity, and unauthorized entry to property by performing the following duties while maintaining the Core Values that support the Code 3 Security and Investigation, to the Fullest. Work Environment May be subject to hostile employees, visitors, residents, and violent situations. Exposure to outside weather conditions. Appropriate ergonomic and personal safety equipment is provided as needed. Patrol the assigned post on foot and/or by vehicle to maintain a safe environment and provide security for visitors, residents and employees. Survey the community for safety hazards, fires, suspicious people or other hazardous conditions. Ensure security of doors, windows and gates by performing routine checks. Provide information or escort service to buildings, parking lots, events, or locations to authorized guests as needed. Respond to any physical alarms. Assist with minor task as requested by company or client. Pick up trash during rounds as needed. Monitor safety of guest and notify EMS, Law Enforcement, Fire Department as needed. Provide directional assistance to EMS, Law Enforcement, Fire Department as needed. Investigate theft and property damage reports. Make sure property guest have the proper passes if required. Write a concise and factual report on each incident that occurred during a shift. ID verification for legal age prior to admission. Direct communication with management. Follow and enforce rules of assigned post with an attentive nature. Wears assigned uniform cleanly laundered, wrinkle free, shirt must be tucked in with belt. Monitor patron behavior and level of intoxication Removes obnoxious and offensive persons with as much professionalism as possible. Must have a valid Driver’s license Must have an operating vehicle with State Minimum Insurance Coverage Must not have any felonies or have committed any crimes of moral turpitude. Must apply for security license within 90 days of employment if required by city, county or state and meet the qualifications for such license. Must be willing to travel to post location and to required training. Must be able to reach, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Be able to work in a standing or walking position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
