Second Shift Custodian

Frontier School Corporation is seeking to fill a Second Shift/Night Custodian Position to begin as soon as possible. Optimal start time ASAP. Custodian will be working as a team to clean parts of Frontier Elementary School as well as Frontier Junior-Senior High School. Job duties/qualifications include: Duties:Daily cleaning duties in classrooms, including sweeping of both carpet and tile floors, cleaning desktops, door handles, windows, removing trash.Cleaning and sweeping of hallways and stairwaysUtilize two and four wheel carts to move furniture during cleaning or summer room movesShovel snow, spread ice melt and work on slick surfacesClean restrooms, including sinks, floors, toilets/urinals, and wipe down walls as neededRoutine and Non-Routine cleaning and special projectsClean office areas and commons areas; assist in cleaning of athletic facilities in eveningsMaintain cleanliness of equipmentRequisition supplies as neededOther Duties as AssignedQualifications:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stairs and bleachers, and stoop or bend overAbility to stand for extended periods of time and walk around buildingsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionThorough knowledge of cleanliness and proper cleaning methodsAbility to move furniture for cleaning purposesStrong knowledge of materials, equipment and tools used in custodial tasksStrong sense of pride in their work and ability to work as a teamAbility to travel between two schoolsStrong interpersonal communicationsOther:Position may require some weekend workPosition will normally work 3:00 PM to 11:30 PMPosition will work first shift during summer hours (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)Position will split between Frontier Elementary School and Frontier Junior-Senior High School
