The Role Moderna is seeking a candidate to drive the design, development, and delivery of digital manufacturing data management solutions globally. In this role, you’ll develop and deliver modern data‑driven integration solutions that connect manufacturing systems, automate processes, and enable smarter, data‑driven decisions across the enterprise.
Here’s What You’ll Do Support 24x7 operations for critical data and manufacturing systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and rapid issue resolution across global sites.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents impacting data pipelines, integrations, and downstream systems, acting as a key escalation point during off‑hours and on‑call rotations.
Maintain and improve data system performance, stability, and resilience through proactive monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
Execute incident response, change management, and release support activities to minimize operational risk and downtime.
Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, IT, OT and data engineering teams to support operational continuity and evolving business needs.
Automate routine operational tasks and improve runbooks, SOPs, and monitoring dashboards to drive operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts, identifying recurring issues and driving systemic fixes rather than short‑term patches.
Ensure systems operate in alignment with GxP and data integrity requirements, supporting audits and inspections as needed.
Balance operational support with active engineering contributions, dedicating available capacity during low incident periods to planned engineering work that improves platform reliability and scalability.
Design, develop and enhance data integration solutions that connect manufacturing systems, APIs, and databases, with a focus on robustness, performance, and maintainability.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another relevant academic discipline.
2‑5 years of experience developing and maintaining integration solutions or web applications using modern technologies.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Ability to work first, second, or third shifts to support 24/7 operation.
Ability to provide rotational on‑call model for weekend support.
This position is site‑based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full‑time. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as the ability to contribute to high‑performing teams.
Proven experience as a Data Integration Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
Strong JavaScript and GraphQL development skills.
Experience with Data Visualization and BI tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Power BI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to working in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment and familiarity with the manufacturing process.
Exposure to DeltaV, Syncade, Apprentice Tempo, Aveva SCADA, Aveva PI, vSphere or other manufacturing systems.
Exposure to front‑end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience with deployment of containerized applications using Kubernetes EKS.
Exposure to manufacturing standards such as ISA‑95 (enterprise integration models) and PackML (machine state models).
Proficiency with GraphQL APIs and graph databases.
Proficiency with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).

Pay & Benefits Salary range: $84,000.00 – $134,100.00. The salary will be based on various factors including competencies, experience, and business needs. Eligible candidates may receive an annual discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award subject to company plans.
