Either the Band Saw/Plasma Arc-writer, CNC Drill, or Coper. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 2 Yrs. Experience ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job’s overall responsibilities.) Responsible for operation, maintenance and care of CNC machine. Read and understand bills of material, cutting assignments, sketches, etc., with limited instructions from supervisor. Lay-out, cut to correct size, select the proper materials from stock, and be efficient and economical. Keep accurate record of material cuts. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees Ability to follow written and oral instructions, regarding daily functions, safety rules and regulations, and possible hazardous conditions. Ability to give instruction to others assigned to assist on projects. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret drawings and sketches and transferring this information for layout work on the plate to be burned. Ability to read and understand burning codes. Hold functional knowledge of types, sizes, and grades of material and capable of maintaining material inventory and good record keeping. Full knowledge of safety precautions, gas pressures, burning tips, etc., related to material thickness and applications. Capable of crane operations and rigging of plate and structural steel. Strong math capabilities including calculating material weights. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift, carry 60Lbs., or maneuver objects, difficult objects will be lifted with the assistance of mechanical means or additional manpower. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb. Capable of working from ladders and scaffolding. WORK ENVIRONMENT: May be exposed to noise, welding gases and fumes, and varying weather conditions. Proper protective equipment will be provided as necessary.
