We strive to earn trust, respond quickly to patient needs, and bring positivity into the lives of those we serve.We're proud of our dedicated team and work hard to create a supportive, growth‐oriented environment where employees can build long‐lasting careers.A Day in the Life of a Medical Records Specialist / SchedulerIn this dual‐role position, you help keep our office running smoothly by supporting both medical records and scheduling functions.Medical Records ResponsibilitiesPreparing and auditing billing and payment informationProcessing physician orders received via fax or mailEnsuring all records remain confidential and compliant with state and federal guidelinesAuditing MRC and MCO files for accuracy and filingReviewing and organizing patient charts to ensure all information is currentMaintaining logs of physician orders for billing coordinationParticipating in weekly case conferences as neededAssisting with general office duties such as answering phones and distributing mailServing as a backup for entering referralsScheduling ResponsibilitiesCoordinating patient visit schedules with managers and staffPrioritizing patient needs when assigning visitsManaging on‐call rotation responsibilities and tracking according to policyEnsuring patients are not seen by multiple clinicians from the same discipline when possibleNotifying management promptly if a visit cannot be completed by the RN case managerYour reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail help ensure smooth operations and high‐quality patient care.QualificationsLPN license preferredAssociate degree in a related health or financial fieldAt least 2 years of experience in medical records or healthcare billingProficiency in Word, Excel, and emailFamiliarity with office equipment such as fax machines and copiersAbility to communicate patient‐related information to appropriate staffStrong customer service skillsWe're looking for someone who communicates clearly, manages time well, solves problems effectively, and maintains a friendly, professional demeanor.
