Business Office Manager (BOM)Golden Haven Care Center (Glendale)Skilled Nursing Facility - 99 BedsFull-Time (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm)Salary: $24-$30/hourPosition SummaryThe Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible for accurately recording all facility revenue and ensuring timely billing and collection. This role oversees core business office functions, maintains compliance with policies and regulations, and supports the financial health of the facility.Essential DutiesOversee daily business office operations, including census, cash, billing, collections, refunds/adjustments, and resident trust accountsEnsure census is accurate and balanced dailyManage cash processes, including daily deposits, posting, and bank reconciliationMonitor and analyze accounts receivable (A/R) aging; develop and implement collection strategies to meet targetsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in revenue and cash postingEnsure timely and accurate billing in accordance with company policies and the BOM monthly calendarConduct timely follow-up on current and delinquent accountsLead weekly A/R review meetings with the Administrator to address collection barriersComplete month-end close accurately and on schedule in coordination with finance partnersCoordinate and lead monthly “Triple Check” meetings to ensure billing compliance with state and federal regulationsReconcile resident trust accounts monthly and maintain petty cash balancesTrain, support, and oversee Business Office Assistant (BOA) staff, where applicableRespond promptly to requests from department heads and staffPartner with Admissions to educate residents and responsible parties on insurance coverage and financial responsibilityRespond to audit and collection requests from corporate support teams (e.g., CBO, Managed Care, Accounting, Denials)Foster strong working relationships across departments and affiliated teamsParticipate in Quality Management and support performance improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all applicable safety and regulatory standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport compliance efforts, including reporting concerns or suspected violationsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsCore CompetenciesStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to analyze A/R reports and financial dataKnowledge of healthcare reimbursement, billing practices, and regulatory requirementsCritical thinking with the ability to develop and implement process improvementsStrong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with staff, residents, families, and external partnersAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesEffective verbal and written communication skillsEducation & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) business office and billing experience (required)
