Part Time Driver

*VECRA is seeking a Part-Time* *DRIVER* VECRA, Inc. has a requirement for a Part-Time Driver who will be reporting to the Facilities Manager. The Part-Time Driver will be responsible for transporting goods from one location to another in a safe and timely manner. This role will play a crucial role in our logistics operations and ensuring hat products are delivered efficiently while adhering to all relevant regulations and safety standards. This role requires prior experience driving trucks, preferably long-distance and willing to come onboard on an as needed basis. *ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES* *The Driver’s roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* * Operate and maintain commercial vehicles in accordance with company and industry regulations. * Safely transport goods to and from designated locations, ensuring on-time delivery. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight. * Plan routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules. * Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, including driver's daily logs, fuel records, and other required documentation. * Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members. * Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and promptly report any mechanical issues. * Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. * Other duties as assigned This list is not intended to be comprehensive. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments. *QUALIFICATIONS:* * Authorization to work in the United States * Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Proven experience as a truck driver, with a focus on safe and efficient driving practices. * Excellent knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards. * Ability to operate and maintain various types of commercial vehicles. * Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines * Must be able to stand, walk or kneel for long periods of time * Ability to lift 100lbs, able to push and pull repetitively * Must have a valid Driver’s license *DESIRED SKILLS:* * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers and across organizational elements. * Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading tasks. * Flexible work schedule * Demonstrated teamwork skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills – * Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills * Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills * Must be a US citizen * Must complete a Background Investigation *EDUCATION* High School Diploma or some equivalent is required. At least 3-5 years of Driver experience.
