Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Omaha, Nebraska.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cath Lab TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 03/30/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Mar 30, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Interventional Technologist with 3+ years of hospital-based Cardiac Cath/IR experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.DetailsAcute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 3 suitesVersatile lab that primarily performs interventional cases with cardiac inpatient add-ons, including STEMI preparation and IABP stabilizationCommon cases include compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, pulmonary hypertension, SOB, PE, DVT, and gastric ulcerAverage of 4–5 cases per dayCharting in Epic and Apollo cardiac charting systemSiemens equipment used4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PMCardiologist hours Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; on-call coverage 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM and all day Saturday/SundayCall team covers three campuses after hours and on weekends; campuses are located within 6–15 miles of each otherMinimum of 10 weeknight call shifts and 2 weekend call shifts (1 IR and 1 Cardiac) requiredHoliday call coverage is expected30-minute call response time to home campus; ASAP response expected for the other campusesDaily floating and on-call floating to all three campuses as neededRequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath/IR settingActive RCIS, BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA) certifications required; pending certifications are not acceptedLicense required if applicable; must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be acceptedEpic EMR experience requiredMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility; a valid driver's license is required for consideration and will be used to verify permanent addressCandidates may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehireCopy of driver's license required for considerationAdditional InformationIntra-procedural duties include circulating, supply management, medication administration, and sedationTeam of 3 Cath Lab Techs supported by a supervising charge nurse on each shiftOrientation is approximately 1 week, including an on-call buddy call shiftSurgical greens (scrub color) requiredArtificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result to contract terminationRadiation badge provided by the facilityCandidates who were previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms at CommonSpirit facilities will be consideredRTO must be submitted upfront; a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract is allowed — additional RTO will not be approvedCandidates ideally live centrally between the three campuses given the on-call response time requirementsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-675779.
