Accounting Manager
Position Title: Accounting ManagerThis role is essential for overseeing the financial operations within the organization. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial close processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position also offers opportunities for career advancement as the organization continues to grow.Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 / Year DOEAccounting Manager ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesPrepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and account analysisMaintain and manage general ledger activity across multiple entitiesOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll validation, cash application, and fixed assetsEnsure accuracy of revenue recognition, billing, and contractor payroll alignmentSupport internal and external audits, including documentation and audit readinessPartner with external providers on tax filings and compliance requirementsDevelop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policiesIdentify and resolve discrepancies, variances, and financial data issuesDrive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and leadership teamsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesSupport strategic initiatives, scaling efforts, and new customer implementationsAccounting Manager RequirementsAt least 5 years of accounting experienceFull cycle accounting experienceAbility to manage details while being open to team managementWillingness to work after hours when neededAdvanced Excel skills are requiredStrong understanding of financial statement flow and GAAP principlesExperience in staffing, services, or high-volume transaction environments is preferredBA degree in AccountingCPA or Master’s is strongly preferredIdeally located in the metro Detroit areaStaffing experience is preferredExperience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP) is preferredFamiliarity with AI tools in accounting is preferredBenefits401K eligibility immediatelyMedical coverage + Dental and vision insurance 2 weeks of vacation & Paid sick leaveBasic Life/AD&D insuranceShort and long-term disability coverageIf you are an Accounting Manager looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!
