Cloud DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to design, operate, and scale critical data infrastructure and platform services supporting enterprise applications and development teams. This role focuses on maintaining high-availability distributed systems, enabling secure and automated deployments, and supporting data platforms such as Elasticsearch and MongoDB at scale. The ideal candidate has strong infrastructure engineering experience, a background supporting development teams, and hands-on expertise with scripting, automation, and production-grade system operations. Duties & Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimize distributed data platforms including Elasticsearch clusters and MongoDB replica setsSupport scalability, performance tuning, upgrades, and reliability of production data systemsDesign and implement infrastructure automation and deployment solutions using DevSecOps practicesSupport software development teams by providing reliable CI/CD pipelines, environments, and operational toolingDevelop automation and operational scripts using Bash and PythonMonitor system health, performance, and availability across cloud and on-prem environmentsSupport system configuration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for production servicesCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable and secure system designWork with structured data formats (including JSON) across services and integrationsContribute to system security, compliance, and architecture alignment with organizational standards Requirements:7+ years of overall IT experience across system administration, software engineering, or DevSecOps engineering2+ years of experience managing Elasticsearch clusters, MongoDB replica sets, or similar distributed data systems3+ years of experience supporting software development teams and production environments2+ years of experience with scripting in Bash and PythonStrong experience working with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation toolsExperience operating in production environments with focus on reliability and performance Preferred Qualifications:15+ years of overall IT experience across systems, engineering, or DevSecOps roles5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roleHands-on experience managing, upgrading, and scaling Elasticsearch clustersExperience with Elasticsearch index design, query optimization, and performance tuningExperience migrating Elasticsearch data across different sharding strategiesExperience with MongoDB replication, sharding, and cluster architecture designStrong experience working with JSON-based data structures and APIsExperience with infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation, Jenkins, and Git-based workflowsFamiliarity with AI-based or ML-enabled infrastructure solutionsExperience supporting Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) processes or compliance environmentsStrong understanding of distributed system design, scalability, and cloud architecture What we offer:Flexible time offFull medical coverage401(k) with company matchReferral bonusesPerformance bonusesLife insurance and disability coverageTuition and training reimbursement
