A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week • Call requirements to be discussed during interview • Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period • May be required to float to other departments up to competency level • Schedule varies based on department needs and includes weekends, holidays, and some call shifts • Facility has right to call off shifts 48 hours in advance for low census (may be full or partial shifts) • Minimum 3 years exclusive NICU experience in level 3 NICU or higher required • Must be ventilator trained • Required certifications: BLS, NRP • Must obtain and maintain Nevada Registered Nurse license prior to hire • Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients utilizing the nursing process • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families • Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed • Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial skills specific to neonatal population Facility: This medical center serves as the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually.
