Life Line Collections Specialist

DescriptionAbout the role:The Life Line Collections Specialist is responsible for collection efforts, making contact with the patients, discussing andnegotiating payment arrangements and possible solutions with patients, using different forms of information available to the collection specialist to help patients resolve their outstanding accounts.As a Collections Specialist with EMS|MC, you will:Place outbound phone calls efficiently and in a professional mannerNotify consumers of delinquent accounts via telephone to solicit paymentReceive payments via telephone for customer accountsManage and follow up on assigned collection accountsAccurately document the information provided and outcome of the call in an efficient, clear, and concise mannerIdentify appropriate situations for transferring/escalating a call to a senior advisor, supervisor, or other member of management.Conduct all job tasks, duties, phone calls, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulationsConsistently support and demonstrate the company mission and valuesAssist with special projects as directedParticipation in relevant meetings or eventsPerform other necessary tasks as assigned by supervisorRequirementsYou will be successful in this role if you:Excellent customer service skillsStrong verbal, written, and telephone communication skillsStrong computer skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectivelyAbility to multi-taskMust be able to handle disgruntled callers professionally, effectively, and with tactStrong data entry skillsMust possess a level of resourcefulness and independence adequate to efficiently utilize resources to solve problems and complete tasksWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office programsKey Skills We Hope You HaveCollection experience is helpful, but not requiredACA certification is plus, but not requiredWhy EMS|MC:Flexible Scheduling Career development plansWeekly wellness seminarsComprehensive benefit packageRemote opportunitiesAll equipment providedPlease note, our hiring process typically lasts 2-4 weeks with three to four interviews total.*Pay range: $16.00 - $21.00 an hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
