Job Description JOB Title: Forklift Operator III – USLocation: Houston, TX 77064Pay Rate: $19.00/hourPosting Dates: 6 monthsShift Options1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM2nd Shift: 3:15 PM – 1:45 AMImportant: Shift preference must be clearly indicated on the candidate submission.Job SummaryIs seeking an experienced Forklift Operator III to safely operate forklifts and support shipping, receiving, inventory, and production operations. The ideal candidate will have prior shipping forklift experience, strong inventory management skills, and experience loading and unloading trucks. Experience in the corrugated box industry is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and maintain forklifts according to company procedures.Load and unload trailers, including sheet orders with or without pallets.Move unpalletized materials safely and efficiently.Transfer finished products from production lines to designated storage locations.Scan inventory into the appropriate locations and maintain accurate inventory records.Verify units, load tags, bands, cover sheets, and stretch wrap for accuracy and proper protection.Complete forklift inspection forms before starting a shift and when operating a different forklift.Report equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders to supervision.Locate required stock before production runs and deliver materials to the appropriate machines.Remove finished goods from machines and place them in designated storage areas.Maintain safe, neat, and organized inventory stacks.Maintain accurate inventory locations using paperwork and computer systems.Transfer units manually in the computer system and look up unitized inventory history.Hand-unitize and hand-wrap materials as needed.Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.Assist other forklift operators when necessary.Follow all LOTO procedures and company safety requirements.Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment problems promptly.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Follow company policies, procedures, housekeeping standards, and safety regulations.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Top RequirementsExperience loading and unloading trucks.Experience moving unpalletized materials.Inventory management experience.Prior shipping forklift experience is required.Experience in the corrugated box industry is preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Ability to read, speak, write, and understand basic English.Ability to work overtime as needed.Good physical condition with the ability to consistently lift 25–50 lbs.Ability to read a tape measure accurately and efficiently.Prior shipping forklift experience.Prior experience in the corrugated box industry is preferred.Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing and shipping environment.\nCompany DescriptionElevaIT is a certified and values driven Service-Disabled Veteran owned global staffing and IT professional services firm serving Fortune 1000 clients with customized and scalable workforce solutions.
